2003 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe

the lesser known but still cool prototype/kind of road car of the race version

History

So back in 2003, Dodge wanted to go back into motorsports after their experiement with the Chrysler Viper GTS-R, and had a celebratory road car to go with it. Therefore, Dodge sold these special coupes for a hefty price of about 130,000 USD, about a third more than the standard Viper of the time. It also took a lot of design styles straight from the Dodge Viper GTS-R Concept, especially the rear wing and extended rear end and paint scheme. In all, over 130 cars were made, of which 125 went to privateers.
