Below is our privacy policy, it may look long and complicated but it is necessary to protect you and ourselves, if you have questions you can always message a staff member. While we obviously can’t guarantee much in this world with endless data breaches, phishing attempts, and poor security practices in place at some companies, we can guarantee that we actually care about your privacy, unlike this person.
What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site and gather data when you participate in the forum by reading, writing, and evaluating the content shared here.
When registering on our site, you may be asked to; provide a username, email and password, sign in with discord, sign in with google, or use any other single sign on app, all of which will register an account under the associated email. Other information that may be provided to us includes your full name, username, and profile picture. You may, however, visit our site without registering. Your e-mail address may be verified by an email containing a unique link. If that link is visited, we know that you control the e-mail address. Other information such as read states may also be collected.
When registered and posting, we record the email address that the post originated from. We also may retain server logs.
You must agree to the terms and this privacy policy to register.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you may be used in one of the following ways:

Where is my data stored
We store all user information on Google Cloud servers in Eemshaven, Netherlands. Uploaded files are stored on multiple data centers in the European Union and are cached globally.
Automated Decision Making
Car Crushers analyzes post and activity data to set trust levels. Your trust level affects what features of the site you may access. If you believe your trust level has been set incorrectly, please contact a staff member. Car Crushers also processes user data for the purposes of spam prevention. When we determine that an account has been involved in spam, we will automatically lock the account. Should your account be falsely locked, please contact a staff member to unlock your account.
Does Car Crushers share data about me?
We share data with third-party providers in order to operate our site as needed. We do not share your data for any other reason (including advertising).

What are my rights and how do I exercise them?
You have the right to modify and/or correct your data.
You can visit your profile page to change your information. Depending on your trust level, you may also edit and/or delete your posts. If you wish to edit your post but cannot do it on your own, please flag it or contact a staff member directly.
You have the right to access and export your data.
You can visit the activity section of your profile page to download your data in a portable format. Some data such as NGINX/Rails logs or flags against you are not included in exports as they either violate the privacy of other users if they were to be included or they cannot be tied to your user account. If you have questions about your data please contact an administrator.
You have the right to delete your data.
If you have made your account recently or have made less than 15 posts, you may delete your account via your profile page. If this does not apply to you, please use the form below. We may attempt to verify your identity before erasing your data. We may retain data up to 180 days after account deletion for auditing purposes.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
If you are dissatisfied with how we have handled your data, you may reach out to your local data protection agency (although we ask that you contact an administrator first so we can attempt to resolve the situation).
