EVERY SINGLE TIME, I see people saying “oh this is peak”. Well I’m here to tell you that something that is “peak” doesn’t exist, since peak is referencing to the highest point of a mountain. So you should actually say peek instead, also this sounds more clean imo

peak actually has multiple definitions, including the greatest part of something. for example, you could say “the company’s sales peaked in july,” where peak means the sales were the greatest then.
eventually, it made it’s way into english slang, and the actual definition changed a bit

similar to how the word “literally” has been misused for so long that now one of the official definitions of the word is that it’s used for emphasis rather than to indicate something true, thus making use of the word for emphasis a correct usage
