It has come to CC News’ attention that the Forter K-45 Ambulance has been causing quite a stir in the CC2 community lately. Many people disapprove of its performance, with cc21’s outrage standing out the most.
cc21 is an average forum user and regular CC2 player. One day, they received a Skill Points mission that required them to use the forsaken K-45 Ambulance. In the midst of them trying to complete the mission, one of the server members decided it was a good idea to cause a core meltdown. cc21’s ambulance did not have enough speed to get to the helicopter, and so they were tragically incinerated by the meltdown along with their vehicle.
This event angered cc21 so much that they decided to make a very well-known GIF documenting the events and unfortunate circumstances of the nuclear meltdown. Version 1 of the GIF was uploaded on makeagif.com, with the alt text: “cc2 when you are doing a mission be like”.

Initially, what happened to cc21 was up to interpretation. The GIF only had a couple frames: a parked ambulance, the core explosion button (which really resembled the Half-Life logo more than anything), the announcement “CORE SELF DESTRUCT”, them saying “WAIT WHAT”, and the facility exploding.
Over time, the event only angered cc21 even more. They posted the GIF to multiple topics in the Car Crushers Forum in hopes of recruiting supporters to go against whoever did this. Some revisions were made to the GIF too, including but not limited to safety glass on the button, the addition of a helicopter, and even real-life footage of an ambulance striking a civilian car.

The community eventually caught on. It was clear that the Forter K-45 Ambulance has severe issues in CC2, especially when it comes to acceleration and top speed. That’s not the type of vehicle players would want in the event of a core meltdown, and many people consequently protested against the ambulance’s existence in-game. cc21 especially wants the vehicle removed from the game, or at the very least given an upgrade package.
There is a vision, though. The Forter K-45 Ambulance’s racing class is a mere 53 when stock, and can only reach 104 MPH, with many cars in the game being able to break 200 MPH and reach the helicopter/escape boat easily. It also “steers like shit”, according to some anonymous players of the game. So cc21’s response is absolutely not invalid – this leaves the community wondering what will happen to the vehicle in the future. Either it truly does get removed, gets archived, or receives an upgrade package. We will never know for sure.
