7 owners, 150k miles (about 60-65 percent of its lifespan gone) engine light, default warning light on (codes are being thrown) and 7 owners for about 5.2k USD, HELL NO.

what year is it?

2006 and it’s only got a coolant problem.
And besides, I’ve seen better examples go for 300,000miles

whats make and model can be of assistance. if there is no knocking its probably a bad fuel pump, bad injector or either one could need cleaned

It’s a 2011 Prius v, station wagon with 230k miles on it over 12 years

230k miles is quite high for a car for that year model.
its probably a fuel system dilemma like i said

Engine block’s cracked, suspension is shot, and it leaks oil

I can probably narrow it down though if you describe the issue a bit more

OH…
it likely threw a main bearing then. if thats the case, the car is a goner

Yeah he drives it a lot

shit

check fuel system first, but check the oil and see if there are metal shavings in it, via oil stick AND oil pan

if no metal in the oil, then it might be fixable, but is the engine turning over at all?
