gotcha. Does it turn over tho when you try to start it? Any knocking?

it does shudder a bit, but it does it sometimes, not always

shuddering ive had happen with fueling issues before, my silverado did that and sputtered like crazy and lost all power.
If its not making noise tho and just shuddering its probably minor or moderate

it felt like an earthquake when we tried to start it at a red light

ok. with that many miles i would say fuel system failure, knock position/camshaft position failure, or possibly internal problems but start with the āoutsideā stuff first like sensors, fuel system etc
im not a professional so i cant pinpoint exactly what it is as a straight answer, shuddering could mean a number of things but start with those

engine check light is on
a background: so 1 year a go a rat got into the car hit a rat trap 3 days later and died in the firewall 6 months ago

oh. could be fueling system
first step for you: if you CANā¦get it to the nearest parts store, have then scan the code for you and it will tell you exactly whats going on

UPDATE: the thing now shakes + makes noise EVERY FREAKING TIME i start it up
