History:
The C13 TUA is a tank destroyer variant of the C-13, a failed private venture by the Italian company Oto Melara in the 1970s and 1980s. The goal was to create a multi-role, light armored vehicle to replace the M113. The C-13 platform was designed to be versatile and could be configured as an Armored Personnel Carrier (Or APC). Despite various configurations and marketing campaigns, the project was stopped in 1999 after failing to secure any orders, And between 1984 and 1987 only 5 Units were ever built.
Fun Fact!: The hull was made of a 50mm aluminum alloy and covered with 10mm of steel applique armor, providing protection against 12.7mm machine gun rounds! Unlike the M113 that could be easily destroyed by just a 12.7mm Heavy Machine gun!
