I think I suggested one similar to this awhile back this one just differentiates in build and year model
Engine: the reliable 5.3 liter vortec
The NBS Silverado frame (part above the rest is just the rear segment):
This truck is remarkably durable, I have one myself and can run small trees over with it while only taking a scratch on the front chrome paint
Very good derby truck as well have seen them in derbies really destroying the competition
Specs:
Engine: 5.3 Liter v8 Vortec engine, 315 Horsepower, and 335 ft/Ibs of torque at a very low rpm
Transmission: 4 speed auto
Weight: 5944 pounds-> 2.97 Tons
Speed stats: 0-60: 7.77 Seconds stock
Top Speed: 117 MPH
Dimensions
205.7″ L x 78.5″ W x 71.2″ H
also height is a little higher with z71 package, and z71 also includes additional undercarriage metal panels and a skid plate for off road abuse
FRAMEWORK: GM’s 05-2007 semi-boxed frame, around 10,000 pound towing capacity (INCREDIBLE for such an old truck, this is even higher than the newer models somehow)
it is fully boxed in the front, semi boxed in the rear and center portion. Very good, resilient frame.
My dad towed a damn full size tractor on an industrial trailer up a mountain in first gear and the frame was not phased. That is about 1200 pounds over its towing capacity. Very good. I also love the standard towing capacity for these which is still at 9100 pounds. Very very good towing machine.
I can give measurements if you guys want, tell me in comments
**Derby and CC2 stats:
Tier: 1 BEGINNER DERBY
Price: 2.3M
Access: VIP
Handling (without spoiler): 11.3
Handling (with best spoiler): 12.9
Defense: 98
Attack: 72 (no mods)
Attack with all modifications: 93
basically an attack version of the TD with SLIGHTLY less defense.
Very strong truck in real life, as it would be in the game. Stronger than even the Folstak MS-8. and MUCH heavier, and MUCH higher attack. Would be devestating in derby, at the sacrifice of handling and manuverability obviously
Acceleration stock (no mods) will be 9.42
Acceleration with all mods will be 12.77
Please consider building and adding this like the camaro was, old chevies are awesome and set some records back in the day. I prefer these old trucks over the new ones any day are such tanks and workhorses.
I would love to see this in CC2, I know the game already has the chevy silverado, but the old one I have had many good years with, and countless good years of service by my family. Lol ours is now handed down to be before I get my own, so far I have run over a 11 inch wide tree and crushed it, while taking a tiny dent and a scratch on the front lol. I drive it thru the woods like a derby truck it’s my daily driver lol. Such tanks
What do you guys think?
Okay, devs of cc2, if you end up reading this. I have been wondering if power bands can be introduced into the game, or just for this truck, Vortec LS engines GAIN acceleration the further they climb the RPM gauge, due to their extremely good stock airflow in the engine design, and outstanding combustion. I am guessing power bands may take awhile if they are ever introduced, which basically as a vehicle (this truck) climbs the RPM gauge, it GAINS power, unlike any other vehicle in the game (probably, Vortec is a one of a kind engine design, which helps define the LS engine family). The combustion and air give these engines lots of oomph at higher speeds, and excellent torque down low.
So, the accelerations listed are indeed with out any, or with all modifications, but as the truck increases speed, so does its power. With all modifications such as cams and turbo, those two things ALONE give it at LEAST 500 horsepower, a SINGLE turbo and cam. That power is at around 5000 RPM. That is the trick behind this truck, and would make it tons of fun to work this trait of it into the game.
Now, I understand something like this will be a pain in the back to work into the game, and I know that. To compensate, I raised the maximum and, slightly, the stock acceleration to compensate for if it doesnt, or until, power bands get introduced for the vehicles (including this truck) that require it. To compensate, again, I raised the accel as the “maximum RPM” accelerations.
These numbers are final, all stats are correct and should go accordingly into the game as written, even if this makes it a tier 2, it is as accurate as I get. (and some errors fixed prior)
Thanks!
