52k miles in my mustsng, nothing wrong. You only get issues if you beat on it without proper upgrades. For instance, a BOV.
For which one? The sienna or the ecoboost?
52k miles isnt long enough to prove anything, neither is 49k.
those are barely burned in.
432k isnt bad.
Who said i was smack talking? nobody. calm down.
ecoboost is a solid performer but if you mod it, it will grenade without a solid tune. those engines run about as hot as a plasma reactor (not literally)
however I can name 1 or 2 cars that are equally as reliable as that scion transmission if not more so. I remember seeing a documentary by a mechanic of an 07 impala with its transmission never serviced and went well over 400k
not shitting on scion, just saying what i know
If your on any other cars with the exception of Ford, Toyota and Scion now, yes, 49k+ miles is a lot for the car to start actually having problems. LOL.
And I said you were talking smack. Why? You are saying Toyota and Scion transmissions are weak. Ask anybody, and without a doubt, will they say “they are strong.”.
ive had pontiac, chevrolet buick and toyota never had any issues at such few miles.
cough…smack talking? Wow how ironic is that.
I had a 04 impala and it was POS. Transmission started to slip around 200k miles i believe. Junk.
that was a different generation. get the generations right and then talk
Pontiac now… i dont wanna be rude… but those were also garbage. Just like how GM made Geo and Saturn, all same models, just different brands, and same garbage motors.
the 4t65e does have problems, but servicing it will often fix that along with a shift kit or a tune, the stock tuning on those is dogshit for reliability, very very long shifts
pontiac was not garbage lol. work on them for 4 years and then ask me that again.
They share the same motor and drivetrain as buick.
now, the 3400…the aztek, the torrent, etc etc were all junk but the firebird, grand am, grand prix were fantastic
You are right. Generations are different. But they are very close.
saturn also had fantastic models…the Aura and Vue were the ones
the rest I do agree, were mediocre
wrong. complete redesign.
entirely different tranny, entirely different motor, chassis, components, interior
3.8L v6 vs 3.9L v6. Whats the difference?
it had the 3.5. come on now dude
the 3.8 is about 3x as durable intenally and externally, makes more torque but about 10-15 less horsepower.
the 3.8 is the most robust v6 engine in the world, despite a couple of minor flaws. the 3.9 cannot compare.
the 3.5, is fantastic but not quiiiite as durable as the 3.8 and a lot less moddable
the 3.5 and 3.9 also both tend to have problems with mods but the 3.8 can be reliable all the way up to 900hp
