#18 Weider Dome Racing 2010 Honda HSV-010 GT GT500 Super GT

jelly company sponsors a honda moment

so yeah, this was Honda’s vision of the future for the NSX in the early 2010s that never made it out of the concept stage
for those who don’t want to hear the yapping on the Kunimitsu Racing 2011 HSV-010 GT I’ll summarize the story
So since Honda had its NSX-GT nuked from Super GT as it was MR (now illegal in 2010) they used the HSV-010 GT as a front-engined replacement (and used the excuse to officials that they had a road car ready for it, although that pissed Nissan and Toyota off)
They detuned a Formula Nippon V8 (the HR10EG) and deemed that to be the perfect engine for the HSV (giving it its high pitched F1-like scream in videos of the HSV)
The HSV was entered with 5 teams - ARTA, the hapless Nakajima Racing, Keihin Real Racing, Kunimitsu Racing, and last but not least the Honda factory Team Weider Dome
This particular example was driven to the Driver’s and Team’s championships that year by Dome veteran Takashi Kogure and recently gone AWOL from Nakajima Racing Loic Duval, and is now on display in Honda’s Collection Hall
