Due to optimization efforts, I might have to remodel the gun.
Ideas:

Stick with the Short-ranged, Shotgun-style mechanic but fewer shots per gun (Having 8 of the original 19 shots per gun)

Long-range solid-shot railgun with the same damage as P.1000 Ratte but half the reload time.

Long-range plasma-based cannon. (Similar to Exoniphic MK1)

A minigun that deals a total damage equal to that of 2 P.1000 Ratte shots after a 5-second long burst. (empty mag followed by a 6-second long reload.)
or -
Short to medium-range electric discharge energy cannon.
That would be unbalanced if I know what you mean bc minigun stronger than a P1000 seems overpowered

Correction, I said “Total damage”
= After a 5-second firing duration, the damage (per gun) will be equal to that of Ratte’s damage output of both of the Ratte’s gun
It’s balanced, because Ratte then would have fired 2 shots while my tank is reloading. (5s reload time)
