I just did an experiment
LIGHTBULB
Ok see this
look CLOSER
See the resemblance?
The rover is literally the space version of the TD, but having a more durable engine and whatnot
The weight is basically the same! They are both 6x6
The only reason the rover has superior stats is because its in pro
however, the TD is a MAX vehicle of a derby tier (beginner)
and since the two are so alike, what if we buffed the TD’s engine size and durability, and gave the MARS ROVER stats to the terrain destroyer. It would satisfy the TD’s need for torque while being fast enough to be deadly and not op
14.4 acceleration (instead of 10.4)
and its 71mph top peed changed to 80
what about it???
could these things be done??
This is actually a much better and balanced idea than before and makes a whole lot of sense imo

14.4 acceleration is really op

yes I agree you have pointed out the future

Not if its top speed is only 80 and considering how easy the TD is to hit (size)
it could still EASILY be outran by cars such as the mustang and dodge police (much higher top speed) basically to avoid the TD, just dont get too close to it

Now if the TD had the top speed of the Zeta with 14.4 accel it would literally be unkillable even with its weak engine it currently has
I think 14.4 accel with 80 top speed is perfectly reasonable and very fitting for the TD
but its ultimately up to the devs

And a mid engine with the exhaust pipes that point to the sky

yes
if they dont give it a larger engine like they should at least put it somewhere it doesnt get tap-destroyed
more often then not when im in derby I go head on with someone and literally the front end only takes a scratch and the engine behind the front metal literally blows up

The reasons it dies so easily right now is because how little accel it has (it cant get away) and its engine placement (and size imo, it should have a beefier engine)

I experienced firsthand how bad the engine is

yep
the #1 reason why it dies is because when someone looks at the front of the TD the engine basically kills itself

its a freaking pushmower engine from how tiny it is lol

like I think it would be awesome if thse used its giant bed to stick the engine back there and make it look awesome like with a breather and shiny block and stuff and put it against the cab and connect it with the pipes
like imagine how much longer it would last in derby by simply not having an engine in the front
and having the 14.4 acceleration
it would be true TD

and it wouldnt be op because its top speed would be buffed to 80 which is still far below the top speed of most sedans (which are 130mph+) in beginner
however the twist is, is that it would get to 80 very quickly which is excellent imo, it would satisfy the torque the TD should have(14.4 acceleration gets this done) without being too fast
basically if you got killled by it in derby, you were either A, werent paying attention or B, you were in its “kill zone” for too long (the space in which it can go from 0-80 very quickly) but basically if you are going above 80 you should be able to outrun it so its not op just way deadlier than it used to be
IF it were given these stats

What I’m thinking:
Stock accel should be slightly lower than current max (like around 10.1 or something)
Max should be around 13.9-ish

yes
late 13s-14 range is perfect I agree
top speed…enh. maybe 80mph tops, but what it needs most is dat torque
and that stupid tiny engine removed…which is often the reason why it dies in derby
replaced by a far superior engine of course in terms of size and durability

It shouldnt need a giant plow to protect itself that’s just sad.
it also does FAR more damage without a plow due to how huge and flat its face is.
