its likely cuz normally companies like ps and xbox release consoles like 6 or 7 years idk
like the ps4 coming out in 2013 then the ps5 in 2020
same for the xbox one and series s/x idk

If they do that they’d lose probably billions because 9th generation consoles now represent a huge share of the current market (130m units)
But the game could still be delayed for some other reason
