I have an account locked in Roblox VNG because I made my account there. You probably had heard the little controversial news that there was this update only on Roblox VNG from what started in July 1st I believed. They added daily screen time caps limit which forces everyone, regardless of their age, to play only an hour of Roblox per day.
Obviously they did take it off it for anyone verified to be over 18+ after a bit of anger in the community. but anyone who isn’t verified or is under 16 will be stuck in this settings, since my account is unverified, I still get the same strict screen time limit.
Man, do you know what it feels like to play this game while being restricted to a daily screen time limit?
Completing those daily missions in game is like trying to drive to the nearest bomb squad while there’s a ticking bomb stuck to the passenger’s seat. since Roblox VNG doesnt show how much time you spent in total (time still ticks even if you just leave Roblox in the background), you just gotta pray you still have enough time to do something.
Today my daily screen time rigged and I was only able to play like 5 minutes before the game logs me out, and I didn’t even finish one mission, ONE. They also get rid of lots of games, almost all of them don’t look like low-effort brainrot games at all, what do you mean Rise of Nations is a greater threat than survive the tsunami for brainrots. The final nail in the coffin was the fact you can’t change or remove this timer, if a parent or a guardian wants to change it, I think the only way for them to do so would be to have their child’s account verified via face verification by themselves just to change the settings.
“Why didn’t you just make a new account on a global version of Roblox?” Because my main account is stuck there. “Why didn’t you just make new accounts to spent more time on Roblox?” I would if the game hadn’t been stricter for newcomers to make new accounts by adding a phone number requirement and some complicated crap.
It’s maddening that the government there keeps repeating the same “Playing games too long can cause violence” like if corruption was the least of their concerns. even if they can cause violence, kids can always recognize their behavior and they’ll change it on their own, parents can also overlook their kids like you can’t just babysit everyone and expect them to become perfect citizens.
I think atp Roblox VNG should’ve just cease to exist because this is one of the worst updates ever. If ever I would rather make a massive data breach and risk getting caught than dealing with this NEW problem for the rest of this time.
