Ever get shot with explosives while in a tank and getting destroyed instantly? Yea, maybe this will help.
Reactive armor addon looks like this 
It’s basically explosive armor on tanks, it cannot be applied on the Exoniphic tank.
To make it fair, here is my guesses.
First, the armor will take the hit, and then it will be gone, but your tank will be undamaged unless someone fires at a non-reactive armor part.
Second, non-explosive shells will have no effect.
Third, it will be a very expensive upgrade in customization, possibly about 5k scraps or 500 credits.
In the destruction facility, it will be the same armor as in derby.
Since turret addons are being adden in the future, Minigun turrets will do no damage, aswell as machine gun (50.Cal machine gun, by the way these are my guesses.)
