Platina Overlord

back in June or July 2025, i decided to quit CC2 to pursue some goals in Geometry Dash. i aimed for some pretty difficult levels, such as Bloodbath and Cataclysm.

then came February 2026. i felt like i had completed Geometry Dash. my final hardest, Sonic Wave, got way too difficult for me. i decided to return to CC2, as I had some very fond memories of it.

and you know what caught my eye? the platina rework. i was so excited to see that one of CC2’s most overhated features got a rework. along with it came the Platina Overlord title. at the time, i believe i had just below 200k lifetime plat. i thought to myself, “surely it’s not possible for me to get this title…”, until i realised that MP is now purchaseable. this gave me a reason to grind it alongside the platina required for the new cars.

in just 2 weeks of coming back, i already got the IM 640 Land Clearer. and i had already used up all of my money boosters in doing so, i’m pretty sure. i had also accrued 10k value upgrades, which was my next goal. finished that around 2 days later. and so it was time to start the grind.

i honestly don’t know how much i had when i started, but by the start of March, i gathered an estimated 220k-230k lifetime plat. i knew the true grind had to start sometime rather than me just grinding 3k plat a day for the limited shop. this number got to 260k 3 weeks into March. i theorised that if i were to play the game non-stop, it would take me around 15 hours to get the title.

and so, this brings us to the day before easter. 280k plat accumulated. all missions finished. all limiteds purchased. it was time to grind this shit out. now keep in mind, all of this was segmented as i really don’t have that much free time. the first run was done at 5 am. played for around 2 hours 30 and earned 5k plat. next run was done at around 3 pm. switched to my private server to see if it would make a difference, and again, played for the same amount of time, earning 4k plat this time.

i just started my third run at 11 pm, when i made a huge realisation. the method i was using to earn plat was SEVERELY inefficient. it’s highly RNG-based if you don’t have all your cars value maxed. so i resorted to one car, and one car only: a platinum material Lamborghini Egoista. why this? destroyed by most crushers, doesn’t suffer from the Super Blast height bug, easily value maxed.

now, why does value maxing matter? well, the only way to earn plat quickly is by either playing derby nonstop or earning money and credits in the facility, no other ways. so obviously you would want money on your side. “but why can’t you just put platinum on the supercharged vehicles??” that’s where Panwellz does people dirty. value boosters do not apply to those unless their boosted value exceeds your most expensive car’s base value. you’d think this would be balanced out by the supercharge plat, but it isn’t. on average, the supercharge strat takes 35 minutes to stockpile 1k platina. guess how long the Egoista method takes? just under 20. for 9k plat straight, i had been using the inferior method. had i continued, this would’ve taken me well over 11 hours, and i’ve already done an unsegmented 10 hour playthrough on this game before, which was hell by the way. had i used the superior method the whole time, this easily could’ve taken less than 7 hours. but hey, we all learn something.

once i got to 295k plat in a public server, it was time to lock the fuck in. this 289k-295k segment where i switched the strategy took me just about 2 hours, so i was easily looking at a sub-9 hour time. i decided to go back to my private server as the public servers kept distracting me, stopped doing cores entirely, and fixated myself on that 300k goal.

then came the final stretch. 299,891 plat. 500b until the next 55. it was time to set off that core i’ve been charging for the past hour. 8 hours and 45 minutes in. fully drenched my Egoista in gold, tinted those windows to the max, set off that core for the final time, sped down Row 2, found the boat on the runway, and waited patiently, playing KOCMOC UNLEASHED at the 7-second mark to prepare for ultimate destruction.

facility nuked. now all i had to do was watch its demolition proudly for 10 seconds, knowing that i secured the long-awaited Platina Overlord title. and lo and behold, the game had revealed it to me. truly a badge of honour, of dignity; all my struggles in life disintegrate as the popup shrinks away. one more thing had to be done: equipping it. i hastily clicked that settings icon, rushed to the bottom of the titles dropdown, clicked Platina Overlord, and time. 8 hours, 50 minutes, 58 seconds, 76 milliseconds. feel free to beat this 20k plat speedrun time however you want.

it’s truly been a journey working towards this. Annihilator will definitely be my next goal.
