it was neither a SPAA or a Prototype.
The R3 was Armoured car offered for export. it passed the prototype stage and was a finished model ready for production.
The T20 FA-HS turret was a IFV turret. it was intended to support the infantry. in this case, the R3 T20 FA-HS became a reconnaissance and escort vehicles when mounting the turret. also, by the time it was offered tothe market, Italy had the DM63 APDS rounds in their inventory.
an interesting fact was there is no Stabilizer in this turret. some idiot from Gaijin decided that the elevation electrical motor might be a gyrostabilizer. this Idiot is probably the same guy who photoshoped
the Sidam 25 with Mistral pod
