Offroad stat and tire options

It’s obvious, CC2 is not a game about realism. We know this, but it still feels strange to be able to drive around your pagani through a dirt trail effortlessly and have no issues or slipping. That’s why I wanted to propose a new idea for vehicle traction, and a new potential stat.

This “Offroad” stat would determine a car’s traction and handling when in the grass or dirt. As a bonus, also adding an option to buy different tire compounds (All-Terrain, Street, Offroad) that change your offroad capabilities either at the cost of handling or acceleration would allow some variability.

This would HEAVILY balance a lot of tracks, forcing you to use appropriate, offroad built vehicles (or vice versa) to win the race. The top F1 car or Super Mobile almost always winning on every track, dirt or not doesn’t make much sense.

With this idea, these meta cars would not be able to properly drive on these dirt tracks, making people actually use the offroad vehicles the game gives you. On the flip-side, offroad vehicles would also underperform in regular races too.

This would considerably impact vehicle choices in derbies as well, requiring that you pick the right vehicle for the environment. It would either completely destroy or heavily nullify MANY meta vehicles for various things, and i’m all for it.

Meta vehicles have dominated unrealistically for a long time, and changing the way vehicle performance works off and on the road would increase the variability in what people should and shouldn’t use.

It’s quite a radical idea, I know. I don’t expect it to be taken to heart, but that’s just my thoughts.

Edit: I was not aware that customization suggestions was a topic. Feel free to move if you want.
