My honest, full opinion on my favorite vehicle

It is…you probably don’t even have to guess
I just love talking about it im sorry haha
The big, boxy, heavy Terrain Destroyer
Rock climbing

I really like the huge, durable bed with storage compartments. really one of the bigger things that makes it stand out

So my other threads as some of you know have been “oh replace TD with this” or even rebuilding it but
reality is, rebuilding on something someone already build is straight up stingy and wrong, sorry if I didnt clarify. At the time I MEANT, put something in its PLACE, something new. Anyways this is not the point my bad.
So my honest opinion, I would shed a few robloxian tears if the TD got stripped of it’s VIP max podium of beginner.
I mean when I drive it, when I look it up and down, it LOOKS like a beginner derby king. Even looks like it would be a monster in experienced, hell even pro. Its just massive and intimidating, especially when it comes bearing down on you in derby (quite terrifying until you realize you can push the throttle down a little harder and just outrun it)
It’s…its worthy. It needs to stay as the max honestly. but it’s been there since the beginning in it’s usual spot on that beginner derby label when I joined derby, which by the way, I hope the creator of the TD sees this, seeing that big black truck on that picture of beginner derby is LITERALLY WHAT GOT ME TO BUY VIP. Seeing that big, unique beast there and seeing it lumbering around the beginner derbies. I honestly wanna mention ChrisDemonEye to seeing this, I think he should see this little part :)

Nothing is quite like the TD
But it’s performance…is just HORRID
It’s slow as mud, yeah I get it it’s one of the heaviest things in beginner, but such a sporty, strong looking truck should contain a powerful drivetrain and engine imo
That goes into the next thing. Chris told me something…along the lines of it, at the time having an un-modeled, but inserted (I think) twin turbo diesel v8, (forgive me if I get this wrong memory isnt great) a whopping 190mph top speed, and a SEVEN SPEED MANUAL with such a powerful engine. IMAGINE!
I think if anyone is willing in the CC2 dev world, to GIVE the terrain destroyer its mighty stats back :)
The truck itself MORE than suits the podium it sits upon now, but its stats do not. (minus defense rating, 144 is very nice)
Ok look at how much room it has in it’s engine bay. See that tiny, slightly improved upon, appears to be a wimpy little v4 or v6? SURELY big ol V8 diesel can be snugly fit in there. Literally every time i die in derby unless no one goes head on several times, is its puny engine exploding when something taps the front. This makes me very sad

But, I am not a dev, I think someone should model and build the engine meant for this boxy beast, give it a 7 speed transmission, (would have to be automatic in roblox probably) and its given 190mph, which can be debatable among the devs. Edit: Comments suggested 160mph, I think it is a very good match for the Terrain Destroyer. Now all we have left is the acceleration it should have, the 7 speed transmission, and a new modeled motor for it
We’re talking fastest top speed in beginner DESPITE its huge size, acceleration probably around 12-13 range, with a lovely 7 speed which would would define the TD very well.
I would literally be sad if it got taken from its spot without given its full potential.

was something meant to come after this?

Probably “could”

Maybe 160 mph

Most likely I will have to run through this I was very sleepy when I wrote this

And yeah 160 sounds much more reasonable 190mph would be nice, but if it had 12-13 accel you could mess with the gearing…but honestly in derby it would never hit 190mph maybe in bowl arena but its a bit much
160 is a very good number couldnt have thought of one better for it
Is about how fast the dodge police and mustang go

:) Thanks! hard for me to tell if it is a compliment or a comment…I am very tired and cannot interpret well right now lol
But yeah I try to get as in-depth as possible, covering all the core points of a vehicle build and its potential while preserving its original build. Most of my previous threads about the Terrain Destroyer were mostly there as sort of things that could get the TD job done FASTER, but now I am beginning to see the full picture. It would be wrong to replace it, would be better to sort of fix it up to stats and engine that fit it better
Right now it has the engine, transmission, and speeds of…a VERY much inferior vehicle to say the least. It has sort of been mismatched, it seems the TD is the shell of something MUCH MUCH stronger than what it has in it currently

Cleaned it up a bit and edited it, I stuck in the 160mph top speed I really liked number for it

But I think that 160 is too fast for a truck (imagine the TD overtaking cars in the highway), something like 135mph will do.

135 is also good yes, I may just edit the 160 out of the draft because its speeds will be debated greatly im sure. Something of that size overtaking cars is, for some beginner cars, is a bit much yeah
I would say…115-130 range ANYTHING but 71. 71 is horrible. This thing is huge, so any speed over 100 would be nice, and would give it a chance to evade attack
But yeah 135 would be nice, and with a new engine and the 7 speed transmission it would likely have a very frightening acceleration im thinking in a range from 12-14.
But yeah that accel with even slightly over 100 would be AWESOME

The said acceleration numbers I would like, combined with a 7 speed would be so nice. Would be great for basically any situation in derby. Would benefit it a LOT with the very low 1 and 2 gears, because often when I cream someone in derby, it goes right over them and gets stuck and doesnt have the torque to get away. A truck of this scale should have torque that far outshines anything in beginner. I think it should probably have the HIGHEST acceleration rating in beginner, surpassing even the mustang, however having a lower top speed than cars such as the mustang. What about, say…its 7 speed, with 14.7 acceleration (basically the form of torque in this game) and say…115 top speed to sort of balance things out? Like it being “overpowered” in acceleration is completely fine by me, and actually what it needs most besides a buffer engine. A 6x6 beast like this should have such stats

Right now its stuck with a 3 speed, horrible acceleration/torque, and a very small and fragile engine in its rather spacious engine bay. Something else belongs there, not the one it has now

The accel won’t be that horrible when you fully upgrade the TD right?

Heck, even its its speed is only buffed to 90 or 95, That would be fantastic, as long as it got the 14 ish acceleration that it badly needs. It is a representation of torque in CC2, and the TD is a torque monster, or at least looks like one
Given its huge size and AWD drivetrain of all 6 wheels, it needs to have a hell of an engine

Oh and…its 10.4, but if I mess with the gearing at all, it plummets.
The 10.4 is given with ALL modifications bought, its weight brought down to 4.15 tons.
Top speed remains the same
10.4 is OKAY, it can outrun SOME stuff, but it stops short due to its horrible top speed.
I still think it needs to be better though

But no, it isnt what I would call horrible, but keep in mind you gotta take away .65 tons in order to get that with NO messing with gears. Simply put, it’s just not good enough. I would like it to have the highest acceleration in beginner derby as i said, but…top speed I dont care a WHOLE lot about, but I would like it be around 100 at least. It can be buffed to only like 90 to like 110 for all I care as long as it gets a good chunk of accel added to it, and a buffer engine. It’s all it really needs imo a much tankier engine damage wise, and that actually takes up the engine bay, and some caffeine in the acceleration department, and perhaps a minimal of 35mph added to it’s top speed to unleash its full potential

Alr here’s what i got combined with all of our ideas.
I applied a little balance to it to not make it op in every catagory, but make it more like…well, the TD. A truck. But a DEADLY truck.
TD stat:
Top speed: 106mph(new, old is 71)
Transmission: 7 speed auto (previous was a 3)
Acceleration: 14.6 (all modifications including weight distribution)
And of course, hopefully, a much beefier engine build wise.
Waddya think?
A 7 speed with that much torque would make it a TRUE truck. It would give it more “truck” performance (of course far above average lol) which would make climbing obstacles VERY easy, and obliterating cars in a moments notice also very easy. HOWEVER, it can still be outran by sporty cars, providing they dont get too close to it which would end in a violent and swift death

Yes

Oh and you would be able to up its top speed if you adjusted the gearing anyway.
However given what the TD is, it should take off a lot of acceleration per mile an hour gained, much more so than cars so that it doesnt leave it’s “seal clubbing truck” and becoming a “seal clubbing truck-that-is-as-fast-as-a-mustang” lol. It needs to stay a truck, but, a VERY VERY deadly one at that. In close range it should be able to kill the SSC in a 1v1 because it would be its “max derby” VIP brother, merely at a lower tier of derby.
For example, if you took the speed higher to like 150, given the rate at which acceleration score decreases in the game currently, it would still be at like around 13 or so. Thats no longer a truck. Thats a sports car, that is 6 times bigger than one. (overpowered)
So it should like take .4 acceleration off as the penalty for adding +1 mph to its top speed to balance things out and preserver its deadly 6x6 truck playstyle
