how come I’ve had more fun with it than with mw05 (which felt like a downgrade from the previous titles in every way) then?

ug2 is miles better when it comes to customization (especially modded), use it as my main antistress game because of that
and hp2 has even 1-2 cop cars becoming a threat when they catch up to you while in mw05 cops just pull a zerg rush (not to mention the game forces you to grind chases), no wonder in carbon they play a much lesser role
