History:
The Magach 7C is a heavily upgraded Israeli Main Battle Tank (MBT) developed in the early 1990s as the final variant of the M60 Patton series, serving from roughly 1995 to 2014. It featured advanced passive “wedge” armor on the turret and hull for improved protection, a 900hp engine, and advanced fire control, designed to counter threats that earlier ERA-equipped Magachs could not.
!! Fun Fact !!:
Merkava Components: To cope with the significant extra weight from the armor, the 7C was fitted with the 908hp engine and transmission used in early Merkava tanks, along with Merkava-based tracks.
