History:
The M55 howitzer’s history began in the 1950s with its development by Pacific Car and Foundry, leading to its entry into service in 1956. It saw its first major combat in the Vietnam War as a powerful anti-fortification weapon before being retired from U.S. service around 1969. Production of the M55 ended in the 1960s, with 550 Units being built, and it was subsequently exported to allies before its final withdrawal from service in the 1970s.

Fun Fact!
Did you know that the M55 used M106 High Explosive round, which it had 17,6kg of Explosive mass inside?
