So everyone knows Lotus, a British sports car company that specializes in lightweight track-orientated cars and is known for their revolutionary technology in their cars (that is before the Chinese rebrand ). Back in 2007, they decided why not take an Exige with the inspiration of the 340r and just strip the car into a cage and 4 wheels. Apparently, they thought that was a good idea cause now we have the 2-Eleven, and I F’ing love it. Who doesn’t want a road-legal track toy that is capable of reaching 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, weighs 745 kgs, with a 6-speed manual , and is powered by a supercharged 252 hrsprs to the rear wheels from the legendary 2ZZ-GE found inside of the Pontiac Vibe… I’m joking it is from a Corolla/ Celica. All that for the base price of 40 thousand pounds and a limited production run of 500 units in 2007. So it was pretty affordable back then, although I wouldn’t recommend dailying it even if it’s street legal since you’re only 3.9 inches off from the ground. Although I’m sure you’ll be pretty happy in one.
