Following the recent topic of @ira_nomas , I think we should think about closing this category, and they summarize perfectly why:
Finally, I would just add that almost every interesting vehicle to add to the game has already been suggested, so it wouldn’t have a big impact if the category closed.
yeah no this is not a good solution
also my thing about “NPC posts” was completely unrelated and shouldn’t be quoted here, it’s heavily taken out of context
this is absolutely not true at all, people still find hidden gems scattered around
also, if you close the vehicle suggestions category, they would just spill into the normal CC2 suggestions category, so this wouldn’t work at all even if it was done
the shit that clogged up the vehicle suggestions was a result of outdated and lacking guidelines to keep the whole category in check, there’s hardly any reason for people to suggest joke vehicles at this point because you have to suggest something that you really want to see ingame
there is a cooldown
i have to wait 4-5 hours to suggest again after x amount with an additional 2-3 hours
then i wait about 15 hours to suggest again after hitting the daily limit
be happy i cant suggest 20 vehicles within 5 minutes or whatever
I’ve brought that up with some other people, but unfortunately you can’t change the limit to how many suggestions you can make in a single day without affecting everything else, which makes it something that isn’t feasible
the issue with putting it in the rules is that because it’s not bound to a physical limit, there’s somebody out there that’s gonna try to bypass that limit because they can inherently do so with the tools on this forum, which makes dealing with that sort of thing a lot harder to work with than what we currently have
I’m not against the idea of it, it’s just that it’s a lot harder to uphold, and we could be catching random stray people who aren’t aware of it
old concepts, tuner demo cars and sometimes even mainstream cars - like I was really surprised when the st165 celica wasn’t suggested
sometimes you have to dig deeper, sometimes you don’t
I’m a bit late to this conversation but everyone here heavily doubt this would happen tbh. There are still a lot of hidden / obscure vehicles everyone can find to suggest.
