This is a great suggestion.

For those who are wondering, it uses a gas turbine engine, not a jet turbine. The exhaust is actually a lot cooler than a piston engine’s, and it isn’t loud.

These cars actually worked and drove, and were not just showpieces. 55 were made, and 9 still remain today. It was not put into production, and the 55 models were spread across the United States to be displayed in public areas, fairs, and also leased out to ordinary citizens to drive and test out.

The Turbine Car showed a lot of potential to be produced, but did not make it out due to emissions regulations and its fuel efficiency. Gas turbine engines are still a developing technology, and will take a lot of effort to make feasible in a car.

Was writing a suggestion for this only to see it pop up in similar suggestions, definitely a must add given it’s unique somewhat sci-fi design and the fact it’s a jet powered car.

Right, its design and colors are amazing and it actually runs and drives. This would have taken off if it were fuel efficient
