Cars and Players failing to anchor when Dealership is opened

In a surprising twist of events, I’ve found a bug with the dealership. So, I’m sure we all know how if you enter the dealership, your character and car will anchor in place, to prevent unwanted damage or huge hits completely relocating you (If you have pvp on). However, I noticed about a week ago that this is no longer happening, and nothing in the update logs suggested that feature was removed. So, I’m assuming it’s broken.

So how frequent is it? Well, this issue is occuring everytime the dealership is opened, without fail. The cars/characters just will not anchor. I’ve tested this issue on both a Windows desktop and my phones (Android and iOS), and it’s happening on all of them, so that rules out this being a platform issue.

Now how do we recreate this? Like my past bug reports, this issue is very easy to replicate, but can cause major inconveinence. The best way to replicte it is listed below:

  1. Spawn any car
  2. Drive in a straight line until you have some decent speed (100-200km/h shows best and is fastest)
  3. Enter the dealership, take note of your surroundings as you do so
  4. Wait about 30 seconds, or until you see your money increase from parts being destroyed
  5. Exit the dealership, to which you should see your car in a completely different spot from where it was supposed to anchor.
Now while this is for a straight line, this could be applied to a whole range of other situations, and I also used this method to demonstrate the issue.

Now onto the GUI, from what I’ve seen, while this isn’t a GUI issue, I do think it’s partially related, especially after checking the console, and considering the shift in interface entering the dealership. So let’s look at the console:

For this first bit, we have what looks like a remote channel not being available, and a background display seeming to fail, probably not related to what we are after:

This next bit was multiple billboard warnings from when I opened the dealership, potentially related, but I can’t be sure:

This was regular infomation, so not out of the ordinary:

This was an infinite yield on me, some stack information, and more billboard warnings, which carry over to the next image:

And this last one is those same billboard warnings, with a failiure in the christmas gifts display in the spawn area, the billboard warnings once again occuring when I opened the dealership:

So thats a GUI breakdown, I’m not sure if it is related, but I thought I’d mention it anyway, since I wasn’t sure.

Finally, here is a video of me replicating the issue (recorded on my phone):

this was fixed because people complained about hitting anchored cars and getting flung

But I want to know, is it still possible to anchor the car after the car owner is long distance away?
