History:
The BUK-M3 is a modern Russian surface-to-air missile system, developed from the earlier Buk family which began in the Soviet Union in the 1970s. It became operational in 2016 after a series of upgrades from the original system. Around 16 or 18 units of the BUK-M3 were ever built.

Did you know that the 9M317MA is a real beast in real life? It has a range of 70km (44mph) and it has a speed of Mach 5? That’s almost double the speed of the American F-22 Raptor (Mach 2.25)!
