This car inspired the X2010 to exist lol

fan machine
I’m going ot revive this by posting about its history, summarized in my form of just paraphrasing its Wikipedia article
this car was made as a result of ground effect cars becoming more prominent, and this car was made to seek success in this field, and it was probably almost a bit too successful in doing so
the fan concept of this car was inspired by the radical Chaparral 2J and Tyrrell 008, both of those cars which had fans to use as a ground effect to suck the car to the ground
other than the car being fitted with a fan for downforce, it also featured side skirts which shared a similar ground effect
the car would only see a single win until it was very hastily banned from competition, despite having been legal through loopholes of the regulations at the time
this is honestly a very cool car, but it might have to be balanced in a way where its handling statistic applies a heavy bias, and hinders the acceleration and top speed in some way

•The racing car of the F-1 team, this car was used in 1978 to 1979. its peculiarity was the large fan at the back. The modification was equipped with a giant fan to create a vacuum of air under the bottom in order to increase downforce. The car was also called a “Vacuum cleaner”
