Big Bertha (Tunnel Boring Machine)

NAME: Big Bertha (scaled 40%)

NOTE: This can be scaled down to fit inside crushers exactly like what was done with the P1000 Ratte and it can be made shorter without taking away key details (maybe even fictionalizing it)

PICTURES:

STATS: Fictional

  • Top Speed: 15 Km/h

  • Horsepower: 16,500 Hp (cutterhead motors)

  • Weight: 6,100 Tonnes (2,440t for scaled down version)

  • Cutterhead Diameter: 17.5m (7m for scaled
    down version)

  • Length: 99m (40m for scaled down version)

other notes:
This might be tricky to implement as a freely moving vehicle but I have ideas that could work well if this was to be added as a fictionalized vehicle:

  1. (best option) it can have big treads behind the cutterhead kinda like the FT6 Super Drill

  2. It can have sets of small wheels on each section of it (it has 3 sections) that will be moving it and the wheels on the front will be the steering wheels and they act just like the wheels on the ETF D5 mining hauler do (depending on how far the wheel is from the front is what the steering angle would be).

Fictional Name (if it’s gonna be fictionalized):

IM-2 TBM
IM-2 Tunnel Bore

(IM is the fictional company in CC2 and TBM is Tunnel Boring Machine)

fun fact for the channel tunnel project they actually used to bury the unsalvageable parts underground in an extra alcove because the machine itself was way too big and expensive to be pulled out
