I have to call this out otherwise my inner physics nerd won’t stop yelling at me :
when the gearing is set to 100%, the speed is 114 km/h for an acceleration of 7.7
however, at 58%, the speed goes up to 197 km/h while the acceleration remains high at 6.8
The speed increases by 73% (1.73 is indeed roughly 1/1.58) while the acceleration drops off by only 12% (0.88 is about 1/1.14).
My inner physicist is yelling at me that with such a speed increase, torque should drop to 58% or about 4.5 acceleration..
Someone please explain to me what’s goin’ on with that gearing.
