General Information
Full Vehicle Name: Aston Martin V12 Zagato (Villa d’Este)
Model Year: 2011
Country of Origin: United Kingdom
In 2011, Aston Martin and Zagato collaborated with each other to create the Aston Martin V12 Zagato, which was made in honor of the DB4GT Zagato’s 50th anniversary. It debuted at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, located in Italy, where it won the Design Award for Concept Cars and Prototypes.
Sights were set on the track, as Aston Martin announced that the V12 Zagato would be racing at Germany’s infamous circuit, the Nürburgring. So, they got busy preparing the track spec, which got people excited. Before completion, Aston Martin then released a render of the racing version, showing what it’ll look like. The render had some notable differences from the regular V12 Zagato, including a large spoiler, and a long front splitter.
Even though the render never had a real life counterpart, Forza still added it into four of their games. It’s unclear if they added the actual render, or if they created their own custom version of the regular car. Either way, there wasn’t an actual name, so Forza decided on naming it the “Aston Martin V12 Zagato (Villa d’Este),” referring to where the car was initially revealed.
Specifications are based off of the regular 2011 V12 Zagato as none exist for the Villa D’Este
