The F1 LM has a very high top speed, the fastest in Class B, even higher than that of the Apollo N. It is also faster than almost all Class A cars. Its handling and nitro efficiency are both sufficient for a car with such high speed, however its acceleration is mediocre. It is similar to the Koenigsegg Jesko in that it has a very high top speed for its class and extremely good drifting, but slow acceleration. However, the F1’s nitro efficiency is much better than the Jesko’s.
The F1 can compete very well with other high-end Class B cars like the Lamborghini Huracán EVO Spyder and Lotus Evija, as it is significantly faster than all of them. Provided the player can keep speed well enough, the F1 will quickly speed ahead. However, due to its restrictive availability, players will most likely win it at lower stars, where it may not be as competitive.
The McLaren F1 LM is a track oriented iteration of the McLaren F1 built to honour the five McLaren F1 GTRs that competed and finished the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans in first, third, fourth, fifth and thirteenth places overall. The LM is based on the McLaren F1 GTR and built on the standard F1 chassis, with modifications necessary for it to be a road legal car—but without the engine intake restrictions that racing regulations impose on the GTR racing car.
