2022 BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe vs 2022 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS (day 2)

2022 BMW M8 Competition Gran Coupe

Description

The 2022 BMW M8 is the Bavarian automaker’s flagship luxury performance car and is one of the fastest cars on the market. Not only is the M8 fast, it’s also incredibly comfortable thanks to its adaptive suspension that goes from stiff race track to soft boulevard cruiser at the touch of a button.

Equipment

The M series also includes sports seats. The standard sports seats provide excellent body support during travel. M Carbon bucket seats with Merino leather and Alcantara leather upholstery are available as an option. The interior is dominated primarily by black, combined with orange accents that give it a sporty character.

The 12.3-inch BMW iDrive touch panel is responsible for operation in the car. A larger screen diagonal allows for increased comfort of using tools.

Power

The M8 is powered by a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V-8 that makes 617 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque.

Top speed and acceleration

This accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.0 seconds and the top speed is 305 km/h/190 mph.

2022 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS

Description

The GTS trim has long been defined by its curated list of meaningful performance upgrades, including a stiffer sport suspension, dynamic engine mounts, stouter brakes, a sport exhaust, and, of course, more power.

Equipment

The GTS comes standard with Porsche’s “Sport Seat Plus,” a fancy name for the brand’s almost-bucket seats. They’re plenty supportive but there isn’t much adjustability. Drivers on the larger side would be better suited with the optional 14- or 18-way power seats, both of which have memory functions.

Power

Every 911 GTS is powered by the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-6 engine, putting out 473 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque.

Top speed and acceleration

60 mph in 3.2 seconds and top out at 193 mph.

which is better?

hope you enjoyed it and look forward to more cars competing with each other see you soon!

M8

Bias here porsche wins all day

Porsche, there is no substitute

The m8 might win in a drag race or in a straight line

but the Porsche’s ballistic around the corners compared to the heavyweight M8

The m8 is better for urban driving because of its seating capacity and boot space while being pretty powerful at the same time but I think the porsche is better in reliability so if I would drive one for the day it would be the m8, but obviously if I head to the track I would choose the 911

Not everything is about handling :oof:

handling is a key component for cars when taken for trackdays

But how many times are you gonna race at the track unless you’re a race driver

Imo everyday driving is just as important

Depends on what you want
Carrera is more track
M8 is a daily driver

Yea if you own both cars and also have a family you’ll probably use the m8 more

Mmm hmm

Holy I felt like is was 4th grade again and Im reading some dummy long passage for a project

Still the m8 is a golden tier car
