2017 Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse All-Terrain 4x4²

y’all got any more ground clearance?

4x4² in Benz terminology means a set of portal axles, and, as such, lots of ground clearance (420mm of it, to be exact), and wider stance than most “tastefully” modified G35s that annoy you and your neighbors every evening.
so far it’s the only 4x4² not to be based on a G-Wagen, and, unfortunately, the E-AT never actually made to production despite being greenlit by the bosses.
the most miraculous thing is that, apart from the jacked-up suspension and fat offroad tyres, the rest of the car is plain Jane E400 All-Terrain wagon, so you get a 330hp V6 coupled to a 9-speed auto and pretty much all the goodies you’d expect in a classy executive car.
