The unjustly overhated car in the MX-5 line, the NC is the third generation model that, despite staying the cheap and fun sportscar is was before, leaned a bit into the “comfy” side compared to the previous two gens. It marked the first time the MX-5 got a retractable hardtop roof (with barely any sacrifice when it comes to weight or trunk space), but also got a bit fatter at 1150kg (still lighter than most cars though). This is a North American model, so its only engine option was a 2 litre NA I4 with 170hp, and it’s also a Club model which was only offered for the two last model years.
The Club added some goodies like a limited slip diff, sportier suspension with Bilstein dampers, front and rear splitters, rims, headlight surrounds and mirrors finished in black, some Club badges on the front fenders (like the Club in playing cards), colour-coded interior dashboard trim as well as special graphics.
The Mazto Malita Clubsport would feature similar pricing and performance as the Toyota GT86 already ingame, but with straightline performance sacrificed for handling (as well as the ability to be upgraded to B79 with no issues while staying competitive)
Oh, and the NC also spawned some special variants like the Superlight and the Super20 concepts, which could be unlocked through Mastery challenges unique to the car, might suggest them later.
