NAME: BMW M4 DTM
PICTURES:
if you want more cool photos of the car, here’s a nice gallery of images here
this is not to be confused with the later generation M4 DTM Turbo, or the M4 GT3/GT4 of the G82 generation that would succeed it
now as the name suggests, this is a touring car for the Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters (or DTM as everybody knows it)
this succeeded the M3 DTM that was made before it, making this BMW’s second DTM car made after a lengthy hiatus from DTM as a whole
now obviously, BMW didn’t forget any of their skills back from the days of dominating the field with their E30 M3, as this car was pretty successful (not quite mopping the floor of the oil leaking from their own cars but close enough if you’d like to say it like that)
BMW would continue running this naturally aspirated version of the car up until 2019 when they introduced a turbocharged model named the M4 DTM Turbo (which the name shouldn’t come as a surprise)
however, I’m not here to talk about that model, so I’ll be moving onto the specs now:
this car uses a 4.0L naturally aspirated V8 engine
this car is mated to a 6-speed sequential gearbox
