2008 Ford Doran GT-R GT2 Mk. VII #40 Robertson Racing

NAME: Ford GT-R GT2

PICTURES: (do note that these images will likely show different revisions as this car did race in Le Mans during the time when the different racing classes were being shifted around)

quite a mouthful of a name huh
well it can’t get too much better from here when it comes to American race cars, but this was made along with the other Ford GT race cars, with the likes of Matech’s GT1 and GT3 monsters, and the random GT300 race car that was made
funnily enough, this car actually produced less horsepower than the actual road car, but that can be attributed to GT2 regulations having restricted the car as a whole
now unfortunately for the first few years when it ran in the GT2 class, there wasn’t much success due to issues that the car developed, as well as unforeseen problems with the design of the car
it wasn’t until 2011 in the now GTE-Am in ALMS where the car would truly shine, getting a respectable third place finish, giving it a final send off

with that out of the way, now for some specs (these might not be the most reliable ones):
this car uses a 5.0L naturally aspirated V8 engine
this car is mated to a 6-speed manual/sequential gearbox (depends on model year)
does 0-60 mph in around 3.5 seconds
top speed is 303 km/h (188 mph)
engine produces around 500 HP at 6,500 RPM
peak torque is 600 Nm (443 lb ft) at 4,700 RPM
vehicle drivetrain is RWD
vehicle weight is 1,232 kg (2,727 lbs)
vehicle length is 4643 mm (182.8 in)
vehicle width is 1953 mm (76.9 in)
vehicle height is 1125 mm (44.3 in)
vehicle wheelbase is 2710 mm (106.7 in)

fictional name would be Forter GT-R P2
derby tier is 1
should be priced at 2-5B
vehicle will be available for free

acceleration is 15.4
handling is 18.3
braking is 15.7
race class is A 89
attack score is 84
defense score is 110

i still don’t get why the handling on the 911 gt1 is 19.6 but handles like a boat

hey, it’s hard to replicate how the car feels and drives even if the specs are present. Let alone a very obscure one that no one knows.
