~2002 Cadillac Eldorado ETC~

8th generation Cadillac Eldorado-ETC-2002 Notchback-Coupe, Sport-Touring
More pictures at the end of the post

What we have here is one of GM’s last strokes of victory in the luxury coupe world before they quit making them. A car almost in its own class, and the last of its breed. This car comes equipped with (at the time) some of the most cutting-edge equipment and drivetrain components. This car has a very welcoming mix of luxury, performance, efficiency and reliability. It also looks very nice, in my opinion; especially in black.

This car possesses the high-output version of GM Cadillac’s Northstar V8, putting out 300 Horsepower and 295 pound feet of torque, while featuring a broad and flat torque curve. This gives the car good overall performance and is very nice for passing traffic, or weaving through countryside. The luxurious interior and supple suspension also give it a nice ride on the interstate or highway. The ETC model’s suspension is engineered for more handling precision and aggressive driving, as the ETC model is the high-performance Eldorado.
GM’s Northstar engine has a bad reputation of being unreliable overall. However, GM addressed these issues in 2000, redesigning the block bolts and removing the head gasket issue, making this year of Eldorado actually quite reliable. GM also altered the northstar so that it could run on maximum power on regular fuel instead of requiring premium, which is nice. It features one of GM’s older heavy duty transmissions, further increasing its overall durability, performance and reliability.
This car has tons of space inside including the trunk, while featuring handling that can hold a candle to a C4 corvette, to a degree, as this car is very heavy by comparison and does have some body roll, although it is far from bad.
This car is basically a C4 corvette that is larger, handles -slightly- worse, but rides WAY better, has tons more cargo space, has a sturdier construction, and is much more confortable. This cars chassis architecture is based off of the last generation of Buick Riviera, which gives this car a durable and highly rigid chassis.

Overall, this car is a nice package. This car is almost unbeatable for the money right now, and by modern standards is still competent both in handling and performance, as well as the generous array of features it has. This car is overall a neat package and won’t disappoint in any category except maybe appearance for some people as well as its considerable size.

Regarding CC2, this car would likely be in beginner lobbies, due to its age, price, performance.
Additionally, it will probably be either a VIP or Exclusive car, again due to its performance but also its scarcity in real life.

This car will possess considerably above average stats for beginner, featuring nice acceleration (and a 150mph top speed) and fantastic stats when modified with upgrades such as a cam or turbo, as the Northstar responds very well to modification, almost as well as the LS engine. The handling will be above average, rivaling and surpassing several in-game luxury coupes, and its durability will likely meet/surpass them as well, making this car a solid choice for derby. Stat-wise, this car would be comparable to the Ford Mustang Ecoboost, Mazda RX-7, and the Dodge Charger police, and in regards to aesthetics, the Ferrari Testarossa (again, to a degree) and some various Cadillacs in the game.

One thing I have noticed as well, is that this car’s B illar and thick C pillar configuration actually resembles the in-game Ferrari Testarossa, to a degree. Neat.
This car wouldn’t be the best for rally, although it could do it. It’s a rather long car, and its substantial weight may be a disadvantage there.
Due to its
Overall a great package though :+1:
I like this car and would like for it to be added.

I really like these cars; personally I wouldn’t mind having one as a DD. It could do both DD tasks and weekend fun tasks pretty smoothly

yeah the STS is good. One of the most reliable ones caddy made back in the day.
I love the STS-V but the S/C northstar is prone to issues unfortunately. Woulda been better off using the ETC L37 engine and S/c that instead

yeah true

still good recommendation

the price I am still trying to decide. The Eldorado performs well and is durable, and even more so with mods, but its not an exotic car so probably not too much. the STS-V would probably be in experienced because of its sheer performance.

Eldorado would probably be around 800,000 which would put it very close behind the in-game Zelherr bulldozer

oh

if the STS were to be added, it would probably be in beginner as well but not sure. The STS-V has better performance, although a bit less durability

i watched this episode of the grand tour where hammond drove the sts, at the beginning of the show he was praising the northstar and it broke down before the end so he had to do a hill climb in an electric 3 wheeler
