1994 Honda Integra ZXi4WD (DB9)

rarest of them all

History

So in 1993-1994, the Integra was sold in Japan with the bug eyed headlights only. During this short 2 year run, a special variant of the Integra was sold only in Japan with 4WD, called the Integra ZXi4WD, with its very own chassis code (DB9). It was only had the option of being a sedan, and used Honda’s relatively new Realtime 4WD system. This allowed the Integra ZXi to stay FWD under normal driving conditions, but turned it 4WD using the clutch when the road conditions worsened. The ZXi came with only a manual transmission paired to the less famous and powerful SOHC ZC VTEC 1.6L inline 4. However, not many were sold when this variant was canned in 1995, making it one of the rarest 3rd gen Integras.
