1984 Alméras Frères Porsche Bi-Turbo 3.3 (930)

originally a Porsche 930 Turbo, this car was converted into a one-off twin-turbocharged monster by Alméras brothers Jean-Marie and Jacques, known in the Porsche world not only as a tuner, but also a pretty successful racing team
under a heavily modified body (including the roof chopped by 4cm and the windscreen slanted by 9 degrees) that resembled a cross between an Alpine A310 and a Ferrari 288 more than anything from Zuffenhausen was hidden an altered 3.3 flat-six, now making 400 horsepower and propelling the car to 300km/h… in the mid 1980s. the only Porsches that came to that degree of insanity back then were the Gemballa Mirage and the Koenig-Specials Road Runner.
this Almeras Porsche was also notable for being the car Michelin used to test out their then-new TRX sports tyre line.

massive thanks to the 1000sel.com website for writing about the car, where I originally discovered its existence from.
