The trans-ams were made by pontiac which was made by GM, it is basically a camaro but with body, internal, and transmission and engine changes they sort of experimented with pontiac
I really like where they were going with the firebird, but it sadly ended up just being unreliable rubbish :/
I love GM (chevy/GMC) that they are willing to experiment with stuff like this whereas other companies are not so brave
But I think it was a good thing that they shut pontiac down. chevy should focus more on their trucks and main line cars, which is what they specialize in, especially their trucks.
