NAME: 1982 Dodge Rampage Pickup
SO. What you’re looking at below is a utility truck that many of yall might have never seen/heard of before, with a history of being “not so satisfactory”.
The Rampage was Dodge’s take on the ute platform which many saw on the El Camino, the VW Rabbit or the Subaru BRAT. The Rampage had a relatively short production time of only 2 years, selling only about 37,000 units mainly in the US, and had a few versions and concepts made, including a rebadge known as the Plymouth Scamp.
However, none of these versions really made it anywhere, especially the modernisations of it, with one “failed” concept from '06, and another one set as “hypothetical” for 2024. The most promising thing that came out of it besides a few redesigns, was probably the closed cab option for the Scamp.
