this is not to be confused with the 1971 model revision with additional aero bits (most notably a wheel cover on the rear wheels and a redesigned front end)
there are two specs of the 1970 917 Langheck, those being the 4.9L spec which was intended to win the race as a whole, and the 4.5L spec which was designed to just contend with opposing cars
the 4.5L spec will be used here as it is the spec corresponding to this chassis
I’m fully aware that there’s already the 917 Kurzheck ingame, but personally I prefer the 917 Langheck
the 917 Langheck, similar to the 917 Kurzheck, was designed for not just improving the grip of the original 917, but to also reduce drag to increase speed on the incredibly long Mulsanne straight of Le Mans
while less popular than the 917 Kurzheck, the 917 Langheck achieved about the same level of success as the 917 Kurzheck
the 917 Langheck would be the fastest car of its class, being around 40 KM/H (25 MPH) faster than opposing cars
now for some specs, but do keep in mind I will be using the 4.5L spec of the engine for these specs, as this was the spec used in this specific 917 Langheck as stated before
