#1 2012 S Road REITO MOLA Nissan GT-R GT500

the hsv-010 gt’s worst nightmare

so yeah, this was the most dominant GT-R GT500 ever raced, winning back-to-back championships in 2011 and 2012
After the HSV-010 absolutely mopped the floor with the competition in 2010, Nissan tried the same trick as Honda - moving the radiator to the sides of the car rather than in the front. Unlike the HSV-010 GT however, the radiator trick to reduce roll worked instead of just giving them maintenance issues, giving MOLA its first championship in 2011
This specific car is the one that won the 2nd back-to-back championship in 2012, and becoming the 2nd ever Super GT car to win the championship before it was even over in the 2nd to last race (the first one being the ARTA NSX-GT in 2007)
After it mopped the floor with everyone else, the 2012 Mola GT-R was retired to Nissan’s Heritage Collection and is now on display with the trophy alongside it
