Cookies… yummers
I think in the forums case, the word trim is something that is very close to the original variant or model without major changes. Ex.) colours, rims, minor body changes (like a new rear view mirror or something), no exterior changes but small internal changes like going from a 1.2L i4 → a 1.4L i4. In most of those cases, these are getting merged together due to the new rules.
Realistically though a trim of a car is literally anything that is using the model name and is either adding to it or making it better, the best examples I can give are with the 911, technically everything that is better than a base 911 carrera is a trim, like the Targa, turbo S, GT3, GT3 RS, etc… but on the forums, these have major differences to the base 911 which allows them to be in game/ suggested seperately to the car, kind of like how the nissan gtr r35 in game has like 2 seperate cars. Same case with convertibles/ spyder variants of cars as well, they are different enough to be kept open.
Although on that thought, there’s quite a bit of “trim” suggestions floating around that I should merge.
Your a legend mate, thanks
You can now close this as it’s been solved
Definitely describes this well, honestly couldn’t have put it better myself
