Basically this

Rewinding in time trials or against bosses in solo races doesn't pause the timer

Answer: If you rewind while doing a time trial or racing against a boss by yourself the timer seems to have stopped but the actual timer itself does not stop causing you to lose even tho you finished first or get a time that isn’t correct.
