Problem with driver weight and drifting

Thank you. Was that so hard?

I was just having a hard time believing you got pro crusher from this since it hadn’t been fixed yet, especially since I didn’t even think this was a bug.

Sorry, I misunderstood the intonation. I thought it was shorter. But you also ask more specifically what you need. I thought you wanted me to prove that it really exists.

Today I made friends with a couple of people who drift no worse than me, they will be very happy when this is fixed. 2 important people in the cc2

Drivers SHOULD have weight in the car, but of course it’s rather dwarfed by the weight of the car itself. I’m not sure it should be negligible though. Drift tires are ridiculous in this game anyway. They act like they’re covered in grease!

Did you even realize that this completely ruins the drift? And the driver’s weight is small compared to the car, but his impact is too great compared to what it should be! Therefore, the most logical solution is to remove the driver’s weight.

You can rework the drift physics later, because it is incomparably more difficult than simply reducing the impact of the driver’s weight by removing his mass from the car.

Reread what they said.

Why does a driver need weight in a car if it gets in the way?

You just won’t be able to understand it, because you need to be able to drift to do this.

Can you really drift though? Or are you just familiar/practiced enough with the wonky physics to do something that looks like (real world) drifting? ;) But in general I agree, a quick and easy fix to solve a tricky physics problem is fine, especially when the overall system is obscure and not very widely used.

the only car that seems to drift close to irl are the fwd cars, since when you pull the handbrake the rear swings out like irl

Read closer in what they said. They said drivers should have weight and were simply disagreeing with the ultimate decision made to remove driver weight and made claims that it’s unrealistic to have drivers weigh nothing.

If the driver’s weight affects the ride in a way it shouldn’t, what’s the problem with removing it? I think it would be much better. It would fix the problem once and for all. The main thing is to enjoy the game, and removing the driver’s weight is the way to get it. I’ve played a lot of drift games, and I can say with confidence that I’m a pro at this! So that you all calm down, I’ll send you a video where I’ll show how much the driver’s weight affects. If this is true in real life, it doesn’t mean that it should spoil the enjoyment of the game.

The other people were just saying that they would rather it be realistic.

If you remove the driver’s weight then you won’t be able to test the suspensions :sob:

He was only talking about the driver having weight while sitting in the car.

I said that only when the driver is in the car

Ik, that’s what Peach said

Driver weight has a weak effect on drifting in real life, but a strong one in the game. I’ve played drift simulators where this effect is unnoticeable, if it’s there at all. You don’t have to look far: driver weight has no effect in Forza Horizon 5. Let’s focus on the best.
