Disposing batteries and stuff you know and it does absolutely nothing when you fill up you car with electricity instead of gas when your country relies on brown coal to produce electricity (shootout to germany)
the net lifetime emissions impact factoring in the lithium extraction and disposal of an electric car is still significantly lower than an ICE one
I absolutely agree but the disposal of these batteries are my biggest worry. We live in a society where we keep buying new stuff and throw them away after short usage and also most old cars are shipped to poorer countries that donāt even have the tools to properly dispose such stuff we can take Mongolia for example where lots of old Toyota Prius land and the batteries are stacking up
Donāt use Mongolia as an outlier example, as lithium waste disposal and recycling is seeing dramatic progress across the world.
If you want something to worry about, it should be the ethics surrounding cobalt mining, which is highly necessary for batteries.
Mongolia aināt the only problem. BYD cars get more popular in Africa and no hate, but I donāt think they have any capacity to dispose them batteries properly. With the ethics of mining the resources for the EVās you also gotta consider that almost every product involves questionable labor ethics we have. I donāt say we should ignore it but itās everywhere
Is this a Saab?
Ford e idk
