Vehicle color resets when changing certain materials

Can the bug be found among the known bugs in the trello Trello ? If so, upvote it there instead!

What is the bug?
Answer: When changing a vehicle’s material from Platinum to Aluminium, Rough Metal, or Neon, the vehicle’s color resets to its original color instead of keeping the custom color.

How often does the bug happen? (Everytime, sometimes or rarely)
Answer: Everytime

What device did you play on? (Computer, Phone, Tablet or Xbox)
Answer: Phone

What steps do you need to take for it to happen? List them in very high detail:
1.Choose any vehicle and open the customization menu.

2.Change the vehicle’s color to a custom color, such as black.

3.Change the material to Platinum.

4.Change the material from Platinum to Aluminium, Rough Metal, or Neon. The vehicle’s color will reset to its original color.

Is the bug related to GUI/Interface on the screen? Or did the bug only appear for you? Check yes if the bug didn’t happen for everyone in the server at the same time.

If yes, screenshot all red and yellow text in the developer console and post it here. (Open console by pressing F9 on computer, or by saying /Console in the chat)

idk why but only platinum material removes color

Can you send a video where you try to replicate the bug with all the materials? The OP can’t because they don’t have all the materials and neither do I

From what I see it happens with every material and it seems logical because they don’t have a proper color

But I don’t really know if it’s a bug or not

This bug only happens with the Silver, Gold, and Platinum materials. Everything works correctly with Aluminium, Rough Metal, and Neon.

This seems like a bug to me because the color can still be changed with these three materials, but they reset the custom color I previously set.

Probably because these materials are colorable and not the others

Yes, Stormlend is right. Rough metal, Aluminium and Neon can have their colours changed, and Gold, Silver and Platinum can only have 1 colour. The system doesn’t remember your previous colour and it resets it to default.

at least its useful for if u wanna like return a car into its stock colours
