i use g+(insert coordinate letter here)

If you double-click g, the point will move along the edge it rests on, and if you then press alt, the constraint will be removed, and it will be able to move beyond the edge, in a straight line. This method allows you to avoid twisting.

honestly i just use the constraints so everything lines up perfectly and no inperfections are there
